Wednesday 18th March
Spill Yer Tea – Constellations (35-39 Greenland Street) – 7pm
Third instalment of experimental Live Art and Performance Art in Liverpool.

SPILL YER TEA is presented by DRIP; an accessible and all-inclusive artist led platform, supporting the creation and presentation of new and exciting Live Art and Performance Art works in the North West.

We provide an open supportive platform for emerging and established artists, students and graduates and collectives and groups to share new artwork that is either ready-to-go, or is in its developmental stages. Our audiences are welcome to provide written feedback on all work presented.

The platform is unfunded / artist led. We suggest a £5.00 entry fee on the door, however any individuals experiencing financial hardship will not be turned away. We also offer a pay forward scheme for those who wish to purchase a ticket for someone else. Proceeds are used to pay for all costs incurred for the production of the event. Any additional profit is equally shared between contributors and artists involved.

Thursday 19th March
Sid Griffin, Calum Gilligan, Thom Morecroft – 81 Renshaw – 7:30pm
Heaven’s Gate and 81 Renshaw are proud to present, for the music loving community of Liverpool and Merseyside, the welcome return to Liverpool of US Americana legends Peter Case and Sid Griffin. When they played at 81 in May 2019 they were phenomenal and left a full house delighted and yearning for more. Well, here it is so don't miss out. This will be an amazing night of live music with two brilliant artists.
The Grammy nominated Case first drew notice in rock groups The Nerves and The Plimsouls but since 1986 Case has been a solo singer-songwriter, usually appearing alone, with a dozen solo albums in his catalogue. He has collaborated with a Who’s Who of USA notables including T-Bone Burnett, Van Dyke Parks, Roger McGuinn, The Heartbreakers, as well as David Hidalgo of Los Lobos.
British audiences know Sid Griffin from the Long Ryders and his frequent appearances on both BBC radio and TV as a pundit. Griffin has three solo albums out, the last being The Trick Is To Breathe, an album Uncut magazine named Americana Album of the Month, writing “…it is a high-water mark in a career which has always celebrated traditional American music with eloquence and boundless enthusiasm.

Cancelled - Ostara: Bonnacons of Doom & Pale Rider – Kazimier Stockroom – 8:30pm
Ostara: the matriarchal triple goddess signifying transitions of time and season.

After touring their Trans-Pennine Hypnotics around the UK and Europe Bonnacons of Doom return to Liverpool to play their first hometown headline show in over two years for the first event of a series of ritualistic performances marking the turning of the circle of the year. Ostara is a celebration of the spring equinox, a summoning of light from darkness in the bleakest of times, a call for collective joy, transcendence and resistance. Joining the communion are the incredible Pale Rider.

Court and Spark (the Joni Mitchell Songbook) – Capstone Theatre – 7:30pm
“Condemned to wires and hammers, strike every chord that you feel
That broken trees and elephant ivories conceal”.
 - Joni Mitchell - Judgement of the Moon and Stars
Singer, songwriter, painter, poet, activist and voice of a generation, Joni Mitchell is an essential part of the soundtrack to the twentieth-century. She grew up with folk music in the 60s, she railed against injustice in the 70s - she turned her autobiography into song in the 80s and reinvented herself in the 90s.  Court  and Spark  – the Joni Mitchell Songbook  will take you on a musical journey that will probably mirror your own journey through life, from  Ladies of the Canyon ,  Clouds ,  For the Roses ,  Blue  and  Court  and Spark , to the cool, evocative sounds of  The Hissing of Summer Lawns ,  Hejira ,  Mingus  and  Turbulent Indigo .
