Tuesday 14th- Brian Jonestown Massacre at O2 Academy- £16
Anton Newcombe and his band dispatch the tunes with their usual relentless purpose.
Wednesday  15th- Parquet Courts at Invisible Wind Factory- £15
The smart NYC garage rockers return to Liverpool to play tunes from their new album ‘Human Performance’ at the newly unveiled Invisible Wind Factory in the North docks.
Wednesday 15th- Launch of David Subacchi’s new book “Not Really A Stranger” at Blackburne House Bistro with Ruthie Adamson starts at 19:30 plus open mic slots!
Friday 17th - The Solid Air Band at Blackburne House Bistro £6 advance/£7 otd
Return of the John Martyn live-vibe-alike tribute to one of Liverpool's best café bars. The Solid Air Band brings together a wide variety of musical styles from folk/acoustic to jazz and rock to funk via nouveau jazz/blues; the result is an atmospheric and spontaneous experience that has been described as ‘a great sound and a real tribute to the spirit of the big man’
Friday 17th – China Crisis at Liverpool Philharmonic £25
The new wave faves play two of their best-loved (and wordiest) albums in full: Difficult Shapes & Passive RhythmsSome People Think it's Fun to Entertain and Working with Fire and Steel - Possible Pop Songs Volume Two.
Saturday 18th- Africa Oye Festival in Sefton Park FREE with Akala, Baloji.
Africa Oyé is the UK’s largest celebration of African music and culture and takes place annually in Liverpool. With too many negative representations of Africa entrenched in images of war, disease, poverty and famine, Oyé seeks to redress the balance and highlight the fantastic range of cultures, foods, music and artists that make this great continent one of the most vibrant and inspiring in the world.
