So it all happened…”The Popular Music Show” resumed broadcasting on Sunday 31st March 2024, with plenty of Now and lots of Then. Thanks to Svara Radio for accommodating the team in their bijou Baltic Triangle studios.
Highlights? There were a few – Scottish small pipes, Yo La Tengo, plenty of World Music, local music from Earlestown band The K’s, a few gig tip-offs, and the cream of the latest releases from the “PMS” inbox. Two hours of “quality listening for quality listeners.” And if you missed it you can catch it on Svara’s Mixcloud site and the playlist will be on our website's blog section soon. You have a month to digest all of that, and maybe get in touch with us about it on Facebook or Instagram, or by E-Mail - and then we’ll be back with the next programme in our Svara Residency on the last Sunday of April. You’re welcome. Please put the word around that we’re back, and help us build back our audience. The longest-running alternative music show on UK radio never fails to delight and surprise..
